Position Summary: The Manager of Risk Assurance role is responsible for helping to ensure that TCH maintains an effective control environment by managing internal and external control testing activities, companywide adherence to policy administration requirements, facilitating a strong risk culture throughout the organization and other related activities dedicated to the timely identification and management of risk. The role will require significant collaboration with first, second, and third line of defense stakeholders throughout TCH.

About The Clearing House: The Clearing House (TCH) is a banking association and payments company that is owned by the largest commercial banks in the United States. TCH owns and operates the core payments system infrastructure in the US and is currently working to modernize that infrastructure by launching a new, ubiquitous, real-time payment system. TCH is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the US, clearing and settling nearly $2 trillion in US dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and wire volume. TCH has provided critical services to the banking industry since 1853, and today, our core products facilitate services including Direct Deposit of payroll, bill payments, and check image exchange.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, finance, management information systems or a related area required
• 5+ years of - risk management, control testing, or audit related experience in Banking, Finance or Technology industries
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Power Point, etc.)

Qualifications desired:

• Related experience in the Banking/Finance industry
• MBA in Business, Computer Science, or other related area
• Prior experience working with GRC tools

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Manage the organization’s SOC audit engagements to include coordination of supporting activities across business units and the third parties conducting the reviews
• Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management and business units to execute the company’s control testing requirements, validation of test results, training for Line 1, and remediation efforts including those identified in RCSAs and SOC
• Managing various reporting activities related to Risk Assurance function activities
• Facilitation of timely policy reviews and approvals by applicable department and submitting pertinent policies for committee(s) approvals
• Support monthly issues management quality assurance review
• Support quarterly Risk Office Information Sharing Sessions
• Support various department risk management activities as required
• Interface and work with senior employees across the enterprise
• Present recommendations and solutions to business issues
• Build consensus and resolve conflicts, demonstrate good judgement

Physical demands and work environment: Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Employees in this position will report to the office 3 days per week

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. Base salary will be determined by the role, experience, skill set and location. For eligible positions, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded contingent on personal and company performance.
