Sr. Analyst, Risk Assurance

Position Summary: The Senior Analyst of Risk Assurance role is responsible for helping to ensure that TCH maintains an effective control environment by supporting internal and external control testing activities, companywide adherence to policy administration requirements, facilitating a strong risk culture throughout the organization and other related activities dedicated to the timely identification and management of risk. The role will require significant collaboration with other Risk Office functions, e.g., Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security, Vendor Risk Management, and stakeholders throughout TCH. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be expected to review and challenge outputs and results from various TCH groups using their prior experience and business/technology knowledge of TCH products and processes.

About The Clearing House: The Clearing House (TCH) is a banking association and payments company that is owned by the largest commercial banks in the United States. TCH owns and operates the core payments system infrastructure in the US and is currently working to modernize that infrastructure by launching a new, ubiquitous, real-time payment system. TCH is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the US, clearing and settling nearly $2 trillion in US dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and wire volume. TCH has provided critical services to the banking industry since 1853, and today, our core products facilitate services including Direct Deposit of payroll, bill payments, and check image exchange.

Qualifications Required:

  • Prior risk management, control testing, or audit experience in Banking, Finance, or Technology industries or other similar function with a concentration in operations, technology, or information security
  • Build consensus and resolve conflicts, demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 4+ years of experience in working in the financial services industry
  • Strong technical and PC skills, e.g., Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills

Qualifications Desired:

  • Prior experience with communicating effectively with various audiences at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Prior experience working with GRC tools

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management and business units to execute the company’s control testing requirements, validation of test results and remediation efforts including those identified in RCSAs and SOC audits
  • Facilitate the organization’s SOC audit engagements to include coordination of supporting activities across business units and the auditor conducting the reviews
  • Support timely policy review and approval
  • Support issues review, challenge, and approval process
  • Support monthly issues management quality assurance review
  • Support various department risk management activities as required

Physical demands and work environment: Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Employees in this position will report to the office 3 days per week. Occasional travel may be required. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000. Base salary will be determined by the role, experience, skill set and location. For eligible positions, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded contingent on personal and company performance.
