Senior Sourcing Manager, Procurement

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Position Summary: The Clearing House has an opening for a Senior Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement team in our Winston-Salem, NC office. This position is responsible for the end-to-end procurement process within areas of assigned responsibility. This includes sourcing, negotiations, contract lifecycle management, cost savings initiatives, and purchase order management while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position will commit approximately 10% of time to support contract administrative activities.

The Clearing House (TCH) is a banking association and payments company that is owned by the largest commercial banks in the United States. TCH owns and operates the core payments system infrastructure in the US and is currently working to modernize that infrastructure by launching a new, ubiquitous, real-time payment system. TCH is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the US, clearing and settling nearly $2 trillion in US dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and wire volume. TCH has provided critical services to the banking industry since 1853, and today, our core products facilitate services including Direct Deposit of payroll, bill payments, and check image exchange.

Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience in purchasing field
• Equivalent education and experience will be considered
• Experience administering and overseeing full end-to-end Source to Pay function – Contract Management, Purchasing & Invoicing
• Demonstrate effective communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task

Qualifications desired:
• MBA degree, Six Sigma training a plus
• Purchasing experience in technology and financial services
• Knowledge and prior use of Ariba Contract Management and Procure-to-Pay system
• Successful track record in a hybrid procurement model

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Execute procurement activities in supporting company goals and objectives
• Responsible for contract and purchase order lifecycle – track and manage contracts, purchase orders, RFPs, RFQs, Supplier onboarding, etc.
• Negotiate or renegotiate business terms in contracts, including pricing with vendors, to deliver greatest value to the Company
• Complete opportunity assessments for cost savings, streamlined vendor utilization
• Identify potential vendors with knowledge of vendor utilization across departments and coordinate due diligence activities across the Company as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams among business stakeholders, legal, information security, vendor risk management and finance functions
• Adhere to company risk management/control framework
• Support execution of procurement activities within Ariba Contract and Procurement modules as needed: contract workspace management and purchase order creation and release


Physical demands and work environment: Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel may be required.

Employees will report to the office two to three days each week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.
