Sr. Monitoring Analyst

Department: NOC/ Production Support
Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Position summary:

The individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining analytical models and technical/monitoring solutions to support the organization. This role combines data analysis and technical expertise to drive insights, streamline business processes, and ensure the smooth operation of high availability financial transaction platforms. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage innovative monitoring tools, and technical specialists. They must have the ability to implement rules and alerts on various tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Solarwinds and SCOM.

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technical Degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, technical support, and development of distributed financial services transaction processing platforms.
  • Expert skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), Power Platform, and AWS solutions.
  • Knowledge of BI tools, data extraction and visualization tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SCOM, Dynatrace, SPLUNK and SolarWinds.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Good communication skills for reporting and collaboration
  • Problem-Solving abilities and adaptability in high-pressure situations
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for technical issues
  • Advanced understanding of data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with industry specific software or platforms
  • Hands on experience working with Dynatrace, Splunk or similar observability tools
  • Strong skills for querying and analyzing large log files
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Splunk Dashboards, Dynatrace Data Explorer, ServiceNow Event Management Dashboard, AWS monitoring tools)
  • Familiarity with data mining and trending analysis

Excellent presentation skills are essential, as the individual will deliver professional and informative reports that support decision-making in modifying rules/alerts. The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment is crucial, along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey actionable insights.

Physical demands and work environment:
Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Employees in this position will report to the Winston-Salem, NC office 3 days per week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.
