Scrum Master

Department: SVPCO Tech
Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Position Summary:

This Scrum Master role at TCH is expected to be adept and effective in fostering an effective and productive environment for the assigned scrum teams by guiding teams to adapt agile values, manage teams impediments, and coaching team members. The Scrum Master will have an in-depth knowledge and experience with complex IT solutions, Agile and Scrum Methodology, a proven track record of working with scrum teams and serves as a key resource within the team to ensure overall team success.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other related field
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence required; Miro experienced preferred
  • 5+ years related IT management experience in analysis, design, development, documentation, implementing and testing of software systems
  • 5+ years’ experience working in technology and 3-to-4-year Scrum Master Experience
  • Experience working with agile scrum teams as a SCRUM Master
  • Experience with complex, mission critical system design and evaluating and proposing alternative software designs
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience in Agile practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with other staff within the organization
  • Highly motivated, organized, enthusiastic and self-starter.
  • Banking and payments experience, especially knowledge of SWIFT, FED, CHIPS or ACH

Qualifications desired:

  • Experience in wholesale or retail banking technology
  • Experience developing or migrating applications to Cloud Environments (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with Product Management, Operations & Technology, work with scrum teams to drive agility
  • Proactively work with scrum team to identify, mitigate and resolve risks and issues
  • Ensure agile processes are followed, all relevant artifacts are produced and filed properly
  • Manage and report status, including financials
  • Keep senior management apprised of project status and communicate issues in a timely manner

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal personnel at all levels and external clients
  • Ability to drive tasks to completion, attention to details, and be well organized
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and scrum team members to achieve successful outcomes

Physical demands and work environment:

Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Employees will report to the office two to three days each week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time. Occasional travel may be required.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. Base salary will be determined by the role, experience, skill set and location. For eligible positions, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded contingent on personal and company performance.
